New Release – The Protected by Shiloh Walker

The Protected by Shiloh Walker

FBI Psychics #4

Sept 2013

Agent Vaughnne MacMeans would do anything to avoid setting foot in Orlando again. But her new assignment, keeping tabs on a psychic kid who may or may not be in danger, is forcing her right back to the city where her sister was murdered. And the Special Agent in Charge isn’t taking no for an answer.

Protecting the boy Alex is a priority for Gus. Gus may not understand the boy’s “gift” but he just knows that some people would kill for it. When a beautiful stranger moves in next door, his impulse is to take the kid and run. But Gus has learned never to flee without a plan, and besides…she doesn’t exactly look like an assassin.

When some dangerous people from Gus’s past catch up to him and Alex, it’s too late to run. His cute neighbor is the last person he thought he could turn to, but Vaughnne isn’t just cute. She’s fearless. And she’s the only chance Gus and Alex have left.

A Novella of the FBI Psychics

Can be read as a stand alone.

Destin Mortin’s psychic gift comes with an ugly twist—she excels at tracking down violent rapists. But it’s rough on relationships. Once, her partner Caleb was her everything: filter, shield, rescuer, lover. The only man who didn’t think her a freak. Then he walked away.

Destin turned her back on the FBI to work for a private agency, but now a particularly horrendous case has come up, and her boss wants her paired with only the best.

For Caleb Durand, leaving Destin was an act of self-preservation. Every time she flung herself headlong into dangerous situations, every time he nursed her through soul-crushing visions, he’d died a little more inside.

Now they are forced to work together one last time. Tragedy has changed them both, but Caleb knows if he lowers his shields for an instant, he won’t have an icicle’s chance in hell of resisting the temptation to lose himself in her wild power.

But to catch the rapist, it’s exactly what he’ll have to do.

Wreck of a blog tour
Enter to win a date with Shiloh Walker** (drinks at RT 2013 or Lori Foster/Duffy Brown RAGT)
She’s out to wreck her life…he’s out to remake it…check out Shiloh Walker’s WRECKED.
“What in the hell just happened?”
Zach’s lips touched the back of her neck. “Well, I’m no expert, but I think you kissed me,” he said, his voice teasing. “And I’m pretty sure we both enjoyed it. But maybe we should try again.”
And then she found herself on her back, staring up into a pair of dark blue eyes that she knew very, very well. They’d always seemed to glint with mischief, or trouble . . . but she’d never realized just how much they glinted with that kind of trouble.
Not until now.
As his mouth came down on hers again, Abby barely had time to catch her breath. Then she was wondering why she’d even bothered. He stole the oxygen right out of her with his kiss. His tongue stroked along hers, moving into her mouth with an easy assurance that belied his words.
I’m no expert.
Oh, yes. Yes, he was…
A WRECKED OF A BLOG TOUR mini interview
Q: Do you have a tattoo?
A: Yep…it’s a feather quill on the back of my right shoulder.  Quills…writers.  Made sense to me.
Q: How do you feel about friends to lovers romances?
A: I’m very partial to them…I married a guy I’d been mostly friends with all my life (I say mostly because I’d had a crush on him since I was 11.)
Q: Have you ever used the WRECK THIS JOURNAL thing?
A:I bought one…it inspired the idea behind WRECKED.
Q: Do you journal?
A: I played with the WRECK journal, and still have it sitting on my shelf.  Did a few ideas inside it while I was writing the book, but I’m not much of a journaler.  I do most of my writing in my books and my blog.
Q: Are you more like Zach (just let life happen) or Abby (try to plan things out)?
A: Mostly Zach…I let life happen, but I do tend to try and control stuff.  I can’t plan worth crap, though and organization evades me.  That would drive Abby nuts.
Answer the Qs and play along!  Win a date with me & my laptop…or a copy of WRECK THIS JOURNAL.
Stephanie’s answers:

Q: Do you have a tattoo?

A: Nope. Still trying to figure out what kind of tattoo. I’m leaning towards the theater masks of comedy and tragedy but still undecided. Maybe one day if I can find somewhere that won’t wrinkle too much with age. :0)

Q: How do you feel about friends to lovers romances?

A: I love to read them.

Q: Have you ever used the WRECK THIS JOURNAL thing?

Q: Do you journal?

A: I journal when the mood strikes.

Q: Are you more like Zach (just let life happen) or Abby (try to plan things out)?

A: A mix of both. I like to have a plan, but I know life has a way of making plans when you aren’t looking and have learned to go with the flow.

Stolen by Shiloh Walker Excerpt & Giveaway

Shay Morgan has stayed hidden for a long time. Living a reclusive life in Earth’s End, Alaska, she’s as far away as she can get from the trauma of her childhood and the man who hurt her long ago. But terror takes over Shay’s life yet again when an unknown stalker steals away the fragile peace she’s built for herself—targeting not only her but the one man who’s ever managed to get past the walls she’s built around herself.
Elliot Winter has lived through being falsely accused before—it ruined his military career. Now it’s happening all over again. And this time, his accuser is a twisted impostor who’s targeting his ex-girlfriend, Shay. Despite a fierce mutual attraction, Shay and Elliot broke up because Shay couldn’t let her guard down, couldn’t let Elliot in. But now they both need to trust each other to confront a psycho who seems to know all their secrets.
“You should have worn that skirt.”
“What skirt?” she asked absently as she stared at the emails that had amassed in her inbox. She had a headache, just thinking about dealing with them.
“That long denim one you like so much,” he said, glancing in the rearview mirror before cutting over into the other lane.
Frowning, she looked over at him. “Why should I have worn it?”
“Because if you had…” He laid a hand on her thigh, then slid it up until he was cupping her in his hand.
She gasped, sagging back in the seat. Her lids drifted down low and she muttered, “Oh…”
“Would have made the drive a lot more interesting,” he teased.
Swallowing, she let her chin drop down to her chest as he rubbed the heel of his hand against her. Yes…yes, it would definitely have done that. “Well, it’s definitely a better option than going through email.”
He teased her for another few seconds and then pulled away. “Yeah. Too bad you didn’t wear the skirt.”
Shooting him a dark look, she shifted in the seat. A hollow ache throbbed down low in her belly and she ended up crossing her legs just to ease it a little. “That was mean,” she muttered.
“Then why are you smiling?”
Absently, she touched her lips before looking back at her phone. “I’m plotting my revenge.”
“I can’t wait.” He glanced at the phone. “What has you glaring at the phone so hard?”
“Email,” she muttered glumly. “Lots of it.”
They lapsed into silence, him playing navigator while she dealt with all those messages.
I hope you’ll understand, but I’m unable to ….
I hope you’ll understand but there’s been some confusion—the Facebook page wasn’t mine…
After about ten of those, she hit a spate of regular emails and breathed a little easier. It was much easier to respond to those. Up until she hit one that wasn’t an email.
It was a picture.
Just looking at it—

Now Available – Blind Destiny by Shiloh Walker

Heigh ho, heigh ho, it’s back to hell she goes…

Grimm’s Circle, Book 7
Myrsina knows the stories. As one of the oldest of the Grimm, she had a hand in writing most of them, but only she knows the dark origin of the Seven Bloody Sisters. It springs from the place of her birth—and her death. A place of pain and misery to which she plans to never return. Unless forced.
When Luc appears on her doorstep, her heart twists with suppressed longing for the man who can never be hers. The only man who can make her do the impossible—go home.
Luc may be blind, but through their unique, bittersweet connection, even he can see that the task laid before them is ripping Sina’s soul apart. This time it isn’t as simple as fighting a demon that has escaped from the netherplains.
Sina must go back in time—to that cursed ground—and right a wrong that she unknowingly brought about. To write a new ending to a story that may give them both a chance at happily ever after. Assuming they survive.
Blind Destiny is available at      Kindle      Nook      Samhain
